More on Boss Lesson #2

Don’t let perfect prevent progress.

Doing nothing is rarely the best option, and making progress means identifying and assessing options, making decisions, getting buy-in to decisions, and making stuff happen. Mostly, we won’t have perfect information, so waiting till a course of action or a deliverable is perfect is tantamount to standing still. In another role, my team called it ‘paralysis by analysis’.

Do your best and make the best call you can with the information you have, and make progress.

It won’t always work. Review. Learn. Adapt as needed.

Doing this, and getting a reputation for doing this will take you far.
